F.C. Pro Vercelli 1892 comunica che la gara amichevole tra Pro Vercelli e Milan Futuro, inizialmente programmata per domani, sabato 1° agosto, presso lo Stadio “Silvio Piola”, non sarà disputata.
La decisione è maturata al termine di alcuni giorni di costanti interlocuzioni con le Autorità amministrative competenti, resesi necessarie da sopravvenuti (alle autorizzazioni già concesse) rilievi delle predette Amministrazioni circa le condizioni dell’impianto, che necessiterebbe di alcuni interventi strutturali di carattere straordinario, indispensabili per consentire allo Stadio “Silvio Piola” di essere regolarmente disponibile in vista delle prossime gare ufficiali.
Nel corso delle interlocuzioni, la Società, nonostante fosse già in possesso delle autorizzazioni e licenze previste dalla legge, ha lavorato fino all’ultimo - nel rispetto dei principi di buona fede e della leale collaborazione - con tutti i Soggetti coinvolti al fine di individuare una soluzione che potesse consentire il regolare svolgimento dell’amichevole alla presenza del pubblico.
Nonostante gli sforzi profusi e l’abnegazione del Club, alla luce dei rilievi effettuati dagli Enti competenti, ed alla luce del senso di responsabilità che la Società nutre nei confronti della Comunità Vercellese e delle predette Amministrazioni, non sussistono le condizioni per un sereno svolgimento dell’incontro a porte aperte. Il Club, parimenti, ha ritenuto non perseguibile la soluzione prospettata come possibile dalle Amministrazioni, ovvero la disputa della gara (sostanzialmente) in assenza di pubblico.
Preso atto di tale inaspettata circostanza, non dipendente dalla volontà del Club, F.C. Pro Vercelli 1892 si è pertanto trovata nella condizione di dover procedere all’annullamento dell’amichevole.
La Società ha infatti ritenuto che la prima uscita stagionale allo Stadio “Silvio Piola” non potesse svolgersi senza la presenza dei propri sostenitori. Il ritorno della squadra nel proprio impianto rappresenta un momento particolarmente significativo, che il Club desidera condividere con i propri tifosi e con l’intera comunità vercellese.
F.C. Pro Vercelli 1892 si scusa con il Milan Futuro, con i rispettivi staff e con tutti gli addetti ai lavori.
La comunicazione è stata tuttavia resa possibile soltanto al termine delle interlocuzioni e delle verifiche condotte nelle ultime ore, durante le quali la Società ha continuato a lavorare con determinazione nella speranza di poter trovare una soluzione alternativa che permettesse lo svolgimento dell’incontro nelle condizioni originariamente previste.
Pur comprendendo il disagio che tale decisione potrà arrecare, il Club ritiene che l’annullamento della gara rappresenti, alla luce delle condizioni prospettate, la scelta più rispettosa nei confronti dei propri tifosi e del valore che la loro presenza riveste per la squadra.
F.C. Pro Vercelli 1892 continuerà a collaborare con gli Enti competenti e le ditte coinvolte nei lavori, garantendo che il completamento degli interventi sarà terminato nei tempi necessari, affinché lo Stadio “Silvio Piola” possa accogliere regolarmente i suoi tifosi in occasione delle prossime gare ufficiali.

F.C. Pro Vercelli 1892 announces that the friendly match between Pro Vercelli and Milan Futuro, originally scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday 1 August, at the “Silvio Piola” Stadium, will not take place.
The decision was made following several days of ongoing discussions with the relevant administrative authorities. These discussions became necessary after the aforementioned authorities raised new concerns—subsequent to the authorisations already granted—regarding the condition of the stadium, which would require certain extraordinary structural works in order to ensure that the “Silvio Piola” Stadium is fully available for the upcoming official matches.
Throughout these discussions, despite already holding all the authorisations and licences required by law, the Club continued working until the very last moment—in accordance with the principles of good faith and loyal cooperation—with all parties involved, with the aim of identifying a solution that would allow the friendly match to be played as planned and in the presence of supporters.
Despite the efforts made and the Club’s unwavering commitment, in light of the concerns raised by the relevant authorities and of the sense of responsibility the Club feels towards the Vercelli community and the aforementioned administrations, the conditions required for the match to be played safely and peacefully with spectators in attendance are not in place. The Club also considered the solution proposed by the authorities—namely, playing the match essentially behind closed doors—not to be viable.
Having acknowledged this unexpected situation, which is beyond the Club’s control, F.C. Pro Vercelli 1892 has therefore been left with no alternative but to cancel the friendly match.
The Club believes that the team’s first home appearance of the season at the “Silvio Piola” Stadium should not take place without its supporters. The team’s return to its home ground is a particularly meaningful occasion, which the Club wishes to share with its fans and with the entire Vercelli community.
F.C. Pro Vercelli 1892 apologises to Milan Futuro, to the respective coaching and support staff, and to all professionals involved.
However, this announcement could only be made once the discussions and inspections carried out over the past few hours had been completed. During this time, the Club continued to work with determination in the hope of finding an alternative solution that would allow the match to be played under the conditions originally planned.
While fully understanding the inconvenience that this decision may cause, the Club believes that, given the circumstances presented, cancelling the match is the most respectful choice towards its supporters and towards the importance of their presence for the team.
F.C. Pro Vercelli 1892 will continue to cooperate with the relevant authorities and the companies carrying out the works, ensuring that the necessary interventions are completed within the required timeframe so that the “Silvio Piola” Stadium can regularly welcome its supporters for the upcoming official matches.
